Hey, does anyone know a good place to buy an IRC allowed dedicated server?
If anyone knows of a cheap place plz tell me.

From what I can tell, Server4you.com is good. They're very reliable and have excellent customer support.
I, too, actually need a cheap dedicated. |

| if a dedicated server is out of your price range, i would recommend a vps from linode - i've been with them for just over a year now and they are fantastic. |

Kewl but I'm not looking for a VPS looking for a dedicated server, max price $100. |

please look at inetserviceprovider i have full racks in uk and usa
i build servers to users spec too |

| theupstream.com has a nice server, dual core 2.8ghz, 2gigs of ram, 2,000gb data transfer, 5 ip addresses for $69/month, although I am not sure if IRC is allowed.. It wouldn't hurt to contact them and ask though.. At least you can test out their response times with that. I actually hosting services with them before and they are pretty good, didn't really have any problems.. The owner is pretty cool too.. |

| There's also Serverpronto.com which I believe allows IRC.. Have to pay extra for each support ticket/session. First ticket is free I believe, and first reboot is free.. Afterwards, all of those things are pay per use, since serverpronto has such cheap servers, starting at $30/month |

Just letting you know in response to the above;
At server4you we do offer 24 / 7 support via the Ticket System for any technical issues that might come up regarding operating system and control panel (if you have it). Customer support is 24 / 7 as well, and you will always have some one to speak with about any concerns (noting of course that technical responses are limited).
Firewalls should be configured privately and you will be limited to 8 IP address for this purpose.
