Today I found a fault in IRC, more specifically mIRC.

Usually it happens a lot, I don't know why this keeps happening but my computer seems to be able to sidestep normal IRC bans. I do not know how this has come to be, a fluke or something, but this is what is happening to be exact.

I have been visiting places that are holding petty grudges on me, mainly a DBZ channel and a certain already ruined IRC server. I thought the server bit was just that the person who placed the A-kill grew up a little, but when I visited the DBZ channel I looked up the channel's options and such and saw that my address was still banned from the channel.

Any ideas as to why this happens?
(No comments from FF Char wanna be's, thank you)

are you sure your ip hasn't changed since the ban was set?
i had issues with bans on my net when i screwed up the cloak keys (i missed a " and unreal didn't complain about it). oops. maybe those guys are equally stupid :p
did you talk in the channel? maybe it's a quiet ban.

As PingBad mentioned, it is more then likely your IP changed. Most ISP's do NOT give static IP's to customers unless said customers request it, and then usually for a fee. So Unless you requested a static IP, you can nearly guarantee your IP will change.

Jobe, it was greg27 who mentioned the IP changing scenario, I asked if Shadow_Lotus had checked the +e list

No, my IP is the same as they had it in the ban list.
