network offering space for file sharing channel

I get the impression that someone wants more users on their network (thus the warez invitation) and wants to be lazy and not have to connect to other networks for their pirating fix.

There's probably also a bit of power hungry mania in there somewhere as well.

And why does wanting to see your ircds be put to use make you power hungry? Would you like to be paying for 3 and sit on them alone? (thats not my case at all) By your statement....we should all just sit around on our ircds and run around spamming other networks (which you also all look down on) to get users. And yeah, I dont link to outsiders anymore.....Ive linked with several users from this website and they were either stupid....powerhungry.....or both.

IN my experience police in unmarked cars are easy to spot anyway, living in the ghetto teaches you these things .....and wouldnt it be stupid to not notice some $#$@!@# sitting outside your house in a car for hours? thats jsut a stupidass comment you made.

this was a good read , however , feds dont go on the servers to get what they need, they have ppl like u and me do it , with them present , u download what they want , they transfer it, take the evidence and make thier case. how do i know this?? i used to do it , retired now but did it for years, they pay very well. you would be surprized at the amount of ppl that do tho and yes , they get the info from forums just like these. ppl announcing file sharing of any kind. so b4 u preach ur high and mighty IM KING KONG THEY CANT TOUCH ME , think again Very Happy

Allright basiclly let me tell a quick story. Three years ago i was raided for botnetting. I owned a channel on DALnet and hosted about 40 XDCC bots off of a shell account witch i logged into through a proxy server from Germany. Serverkeptoz; First let me say i was young and was power hungrey little script kiddie. Neways i was raided for DDoS bots i was reported to my ISP from someone i still dont know who. I was charged with Obstruction of Govermental Justice A Clas E Felony. Needless to say that had no evidence what so ever about this DDoS It was alleged due to an ISP signing a statement with the bearu. So they trace my ip to the shell that the bots were serving from and find that my ip was never on there but a Germany IP was though im from New York. The D/A offerd me 6months in a county jail and a stay away order from internet accessable computers for 3 years. So i took the case to trail. At trial they didn;t have any proof besides that i had songs on my computer that were also on the shell though anybody could have them songs. They couldnt find any of the login ips or passwords witch were stored on a txt on a flashdrive i keep behind a picture on my wall lol. Well the outcome of this was i pleaded to a disorderly conduct and paid a fine od 120 dollers with a 80 surcharge. FEDS DON'T WASTE THERE TIME GOING AFTER NETWORKS WHO USE THE BOTS FOR SERVING. Feds go after the people using the bots to damage businesses or people. So twiggz my advise is use the bots setup a serving channel and i hope it goes well and those who dont belive my story may click the fallowing links below of the the felony complaint and see the order issuing me to stay away from computers and also the compaint its self you may need to enlarge i took them just now with my camera phone and uplaoded them to my myspace

BTW i do not use Warez to that day not because of what happen but i relized after the bots were gone we had about 5 users it doesnt help a server grow.

While it may be hard to read for some, I thank dacayhero for posting his experience when it comes to warez or DDoS bots. I hope others can learn from the experience too.
