Howdy Everyone,
I run a linux shell. Web hosting, Dedicated server company and to provide live support to my customers i will be adding a web based IRC client to our new web page and its due to this we have decided to launch our own IRC server, I am looking for a stable IRC Network doesn't have to have many users as long as its not DoS bait and there are friendly people on the network i am happy to link to it, My stipulations are 20+ global users at all times and at least 2 servers on the network, I want to join a network for redundancy in case of server failure i want my customers to still be able to access my live chat support without fail.
Server details:
IRCD: You can choose it.
Network: 100mbps Port Equinix Chicago Facility
Hardware:
Core2 Dual Core 2.33Ghz CPU
4Gb Memory
1TB Hard disk space
The server and the cage are 100% privately owned, The server that the ircd will be hosted on is a public shell server how ever customers will be jailed on a separate part of the system, Im not looking for large warez networks or anything that attracts DoS, Im looking for a small and friendly community.
Any networks interested please post your DNS pool below and i shall hop around and see what network i click with, Any questions feel free to ask if you feel like flaming me as i see allot of people do on this forum feel free to but know that after 9 years my /ignore functions are expanded past IRC.
Thank you for your time. |

You can drop by irc.collectiveirc.net and talk to myself or Jobe.
We are in the middle of an ircd switch right now and not all servers are linked to the main network as we've pulled a few servers over to the new ircd. We have about 100 real users and an experienced admin (experienced means 5-10+ Years) nearly all the time.
We'll be running Nefarious and X3, both are based on software run on networks capable of hosting tens of thousands of users. |
