| Hello guys i run a ircd off my box and well the hub just packed up and left so now im looking for a new place to link to. I dont care what you use. Try to leave a message on this forum. I never see if i get a pm lol |

It's not wise to run users on a hub .. why would you even ask something like that? |

It's not wise to run users on a hub .. why would you even ask something like that? |
There is nothing wrong with having client hubs, nothing at all. I bet you can't name 1 single network that is more than 12 years old or has more than 50,000 users that does NOT run client hubs. |

Shure .. You be sure to get me the ip address of quakenet, undernet, efnet, dalnet and other major irc networks that run client hubs. I guarantee that you will never .. ever find them ip's unless you have linked to them networks. Anyways, i'm not gonna getting in to a worthless pissing match about this cause it's not going to go any where. my2c. I'm done. |

1> it wasn't a pissing contest that I was aware of, just stating facts.
2> wheher you can resolve the IPs of the client hub is moot, the point is that you can use client hubs and client hubs happen to be the oldest form of hub. Nothing wrong with them.
3> If an attacker wanted to hit your client hub they would hit whatever they could get to resolve, even your DNS server and remove your Round Robin from the internet for a few months if they so feel like it. Which would affect ALL servers regardless of configuration. |
