|
We have relay-linked a common channel on 13 IRC networks (including the 8 largest ones: QuakeNet, UnderNet, IRCnet, EFnet, WebChat, FreeNode, DALnet, and GameSurge). This means after joining our channel on any of these networks, all lines that you type will instantly appear in the counterpart channels on each of the other 12 networks. In this way, you can have cross-net conversations on all 13 networks simultaneously. There are various simple cross-net commands as well. There's a command to view all networks/channels and their current user lists. There's a command to perform cross-net /whois lookups on individual users. And there's a command to send cross-net Private Messages to any user on the included networks. The relay hubs are located at multiple datacenters.
There are two channel names used for our link channels; the one to join depends upon which network you're connected to. These channel names are #GLOBAL and #GLOBAL-Link (if you cannot join one, or if Global Chat Network Relay System is not displayed within the topic, try the other channel name). The other five networks relay-linked on our system are: StarChat, ZiRC, TechJoose, LepakNet, and IRC-GLOBAL. IRC-GLOBAL (irc.proxemic.net) is the flagship network for the relay system. You should have the same experience regardless of which of the included networks you're connected to. The system is currently opened for general chat. |
