same thing at topic just keeps connecting and connecting like the energizer bunny, running vista usinf either firefox or explorer. help? i used xp 3 months ago and it worked fine on startup. can view config but thats it  |

| specific info i try to load a channel, the chat box opens up, but message says "connecting to irc.swiftirc.net 6667" same thing with any channel. thats all i know thats all i can say |

Well, I *was* going to help .. but I really thing saying "fu" removed all interest on my behalf. I have no problems with my IRC connection so I have lost nothing. Good Luck finding help. |

I'm going to assume a few things here, but if I'm wrong about anything, feel free to correct me...
- You have a local IRCd run on your workstation (for the sake of simplicity, UnrealIRCd under Windows XP)
- Your config file has "irc.swiftirc.net" as the servername in the M:Line (Me block)
- You are assuming that because said servername is in a config that your IRCd is going to declare it in your hosts file or DNS?
