well if people quit downloading stupid stuff on there windows boxes, windows can and will beat a Linux os. before my last restart on my server 2003, it was at 301d 21h 55m 30s. Reason of failure. Power outage lasting more then a hour. my batterys are only good for an hour |

Thank you ]daniel!
also I wanted to comment that my mates and I started out a nice network
irc.fusionchat.org we're waiting on the blessed email from searchirc for the listing so after the network is reviewed and aproved I'll post on announcements.
so far we got an average of 30 users and very nice rooms, in #Devel we're coding FusionIRCd which is an old project of mine with some friends and we're also running our own variant of anope called magix services. both server daemons will be available for download at devel.fusionchat.org soonish. Also waiting for the aproval of the projects from sourceforge which will be where we will host the files. ^^ |

I agree i think even efnet has a windows server or at least had. Not that I would recommend you running a IRCd on windows box tho. |

| Actually, Windows isn't bad for serving data. But you can't run something like Windows XP and expect it to be capable of serving data. Run something like Windows Server 2003 and you can serve data just fine, as good or better than a Linux/Unix based box in my opinion. |
