| We've seen this with other declared and undeclared conflicts over the years. Even the large networks suffer massive netsplits and disruptions when rival Middle East groups attack each other. |

| Thanks mregit, its kind of you. Yeah but the thing is that we never atacked anyone.. Beirut IRC Network has always cohabited israelies palestinians egyptians jordanians & lebanese chating in peace. And now some israeli fanatics are comming out of nowhere laming around. Even so in real life the republic of lebanon or the city of beirut is not and cannot be responsable for the action of hezbolla. damn its the country that is paying the price of tensions that are between USA - IRAN.. our country as our IRC Network is serving as battlefield. that sucks. |

| I doubt that the Israeli government sanctioned such a thing, but it's still inexcuseable. |

Stefano, this is the most important thing you said. I hope the people who attacked you will read it and see that you and your network are not part of the problem. Peace will ONLY come when what you have achieved on your IRC network becomes a reality in real life as well. |

War are sometimes for revenage, power, money, oil fields and international pressure.....
And wars are very expensive...
The US is spending 10 billion dollars a month just to keep soliders in iraq and afghan......
About 300-600 billion dollars a year or so... |

| I'm from Lebanon myself, and it's pissing me off how the war is going on right now. Jews have bombed areas next to where I used to live. I'm feel safer here in the U.S.A. My aunt and her children got into the airport 3 hours before the jews bombed it, so I'm glad they made it safe. |

It's not "the jews" who are bombing, it's "the Israelis." There's a difference. The Israeli Defence Force is not soley comprised of Jews, there are Christians, Muslims, Druze and people of other religions in it. By saying "the jews" it sounds like there is some sort of giant conspiracy where Jews from all around the world are working together to destroy Hizbollah. |

However, that is an observation of someone who hears of the US-Iraq and US-North Korea tensions on a daily basis. |

True. In fact, while there are dozens of Catholic States, Islamic States, and Christian States, Israel is the ONLY Jewish State. But that title is misleading... because under the Treaty of Balfour of 1917, while Israel was recognized as the Jewish Homeland it was ALSO required to preserve full equality to the other ethnic and religious groups that formed a small minority of the population at that time. Ironically, even though there has been steady immigration of Jews, Israel's Arab population is expected to grow from a large minority group to the majority population within the next few decades. This causes great worry that they will carry out their genocidal campaign against the Jews from within the Jewish homeland. There's also a fair amount of Christians in Israel, having found refuge from Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon and other Arab countries that persecute non-muslims. |

Whether or not Israel is fulfilling this obligation is open to significant debate. |
