BUILD : 1.7.13 (949) BUGS : NOTES : Anope 1.7.13 release |
No, this thread didn't exist 2 weeks ago when we initially made plans to release .13 at that point. Communication and QA take time tho... |

i am going to break this down by which services ive used, I like mostly all of them...Here is the list of services ive played with and used on networks (Anope, Auspices,Atheme, IRCServices, SRVX, CHANFIX, Epona). Pretty much all of them
Epona is great but outdated, cant comment much
Anope - I used for 2 years on my old irc network, ran smoothly with rare crashes. The module system is ok, but it is getting out of hand IMO. Too many stupid modules are being released. I support the modules topiced to security measures. But some of them are just plain pointless. I hung around the anope channel for a long time, the services there are great, the staff are great, So yes. they may have alot of useless stuff packaged in them, but i envy their progress..
Auspices - POS. These services was when i first started a network, TOO many services, developer was a racist idiot. i switched to anope because auspices destroyed my database 10 times in a row. Thank god development has ceased.
Atheme. Ive looked at Atheme, They have very great potentiol. Basic, simple to use, focusing mainly on the core commands. I respect the simplicity of it, very nice work guys.
IRC Services I didnt use much either, they need to catch up with the times it seems...Poor support for ircd's. Other than that they have a simplicity as well, with a few unneeded commands.
Now SRVX - These are my favorite, very easy to customize, simple to use with a little twist on thing, the ones im currently using for PGN. I like how its setup, how stable it is, and how effiecent it works.
I would say more, but its late, and my brain is fried lol

| I think SirvNet services 3.0 is one of the good services around since it has SQL real-time Database support. |
