Unreal is great because theres a team that does the coding, unlike one or two people, or a main coder and a bunch of people that say "hey we should have..." like nenolod's, brain's, and my ircds.
This weeds out a lot of really stupid features that only appeal to stupid people. The features that are left are the building blocks of the new age of ircd's.
Also.. it doesn't use that god-awful reminiscent-of-the-winsock-activex-control KQueue shit. |

iirc unreal has two active developers (maybe three), inspircd has two and nenolod's no longer linked to an IRCD project. |

A "team" can be 2 people which I do believe angelic is correct. The number of developers is not really that important nor does the number of developers indicate the quality of the project. Personally, I like projects when there is only 1 or 2 developers. This makes it so that the core is easier to keep uniform.

Since you are obviously talking about inspircd you should know that most all the modules are "unreal like". Meaning that the 2 ircds have mostly the same "stupid" features. Except in inspircd they can be excluded entirely any not just switched off.

kqueue support in inspircd is optional I do believe.

should i be flattered at that comment or scared? ....hmm, i guess that depends on if you consider yourself to be a washing machine. Teddy bears don't like washing machines. |

That is true, I quit ShadowIRCd as of Sunday (May 08 ) afternoon. I'm merely providing infrastructure support there.
