Huh? That doesn't make sense. Unreal is an ircd, anope and auspice are both services. Saying you use Anope but prefer Auspice would make sense, I presume that's what you mean?

Actually, im using UnrealIRCD version and Anope IRC service to run on my network, AND I like Auspice and Anope IRC service. LOL.

I've heard that Auspice will back and released at the end of year 2005 (Maybe, depands). A latest version of Auspice is 2.8.1 and its was released at year 2004 (Lol, its took 1 year to recoded it or retired) but its a good news because Auspice will back. A newest Auspice version is 3.0. |

Huh?!
Auspice 2.8.1 was released in 2000. I know this for two reasons, one, I used Auspice 2.8.1 when I started being an oper in 2002-2003, the SourceForge dates (2002-10-17 11:43 is the mention for the 2.8.1 docs) and the file dates (all circa 2001).
The "newest" version is currently 2.8.1, according to In Mean, 2.9 is scheduled for alphas etc at the end of this month, a "stable" (and I use the term loosely) is scheduled for next month.
3.0 is currently vapourware.
As I said, auspice is pretty much unworkable now, with the amount of bugs, design flaws and problems it has - it's really become redundant. |

| well we still use the ircservices. from what Im reading ircservices is not the popular choice. I have never used Anope.. whats the difference between the two anyways? |

That's like asking "what's the difference between internet explorer and firefox?" (don't take that too literally tho)
IRC Services and Anope are both maintained by completely different people, both progress in different way, have different features, and different strengths and weaknesses. There is a list comparing different services packages at http://wiki.anope.org/Other:ComparisonChart which includes both anope and irc services  |
