It would be great if the search for channels sorted the results to show the channels with the most users first. It seems to show the results randomly so its not uncommon to have to go to the 2nd page before you can even find a channel with more than 20 users.

I belive it currently lists in freshness.. Which is a equally good idea. Because the fresher the listing is the more likely that number of users will be there.. Say the freshness is 60% and has 30 users.. by now users may have gone down to 10. catch my drift.. Good thought though guys.

yes but unless the actual user rate varies greatly from hour to hour - and for most channels that is not the case - the freshness value doesnt really make a difference. besides, if it sorted by average (not current) the freshness of 100% OR 60% most likely won't make much difference. of course for new channels the average rating would still put them at the bottom even if they had a good # of users but that would only last until the channels been established a week or so.

it sorts by how well the channel matched your terms. If you need to weed out small channels, use the advanced search and specify you want only channels with more than N users.

We used to sort by users, but the problem was a large warez channel that contained a search term would ALWAYS be on top.
