I'm trying to pick a new network for my medium-sized community group's chatroom. Don't want to put it on any of the nets I admin, as they're all Christian nets and UCNZ isn't a Christian group. Here's what I'm looking for in a network:
SSL-enabled for client connections
Staff with good senses of humour, who only abuse their power when bored
No warez/porn or other uber-dodge stuff (it's aimed at 13-18 year olds)
Anope services
Open channel registration
It would be awesome if you also had a New Zealand server, but that may be expecting a bit much

| We would fulfil all your requirements, but unfortunatly we have no NZ server atm. An australian one soon, perhaps. |

and if ya still havnt found a network, theres alway irc.wyldryde.net , which has everything other than the NZ server, and part of killing for fun..

| All of the requirements you mentioned are fullfilled at Chattingaway. We have SSL on all of our servers, we run ANOPE services,all of our opers have a good sense of humor but we dont not abuse our powers when bored. Anyone can register a channel with of course a registered nick. We are an NON WAREZ/PORN network which you can plainly see from the network name. | The requirements you mentioned are fullfilled at secureirc, all of our servers have SSL enabled on port 9999, we even have a IM chat client like msn, yahoo, aim that also has SSL enabled on it, which can be d/l at: http://secureirc.org/mchat/ we don't allow any warez or porn on our network. Our opers do not abuse there IRCOP status at all. Any user can register a channel with a registered nick. We use Anope services. Come check us out at: irc.secureirc.org.[/url] |
