Can I recieve PM's with the Java program?

My university connection blocks IRC programs from connecting, however, I can use the Java applet here to connect to IRC. The only problem is, I don't think it can recieve PM's, which is something I like to do often when I'm on IRC. I know I can send them, but I don't know if it will let me recieve one. Like, for instance, if a bot sends me something...Can I see it?

Is that possible? I'd appreciate the help...

Just had a look and yes it does allow PMs.

How do I do it? Everytime I try to do something that would prompt an automatic responce, nothing comes...

If your school blocks IRC, it's probably because they don't want you using IRC, not because they want you to circumvent their method of blocking by using a Java Applet...

Just kidding, but I was looking at your college's AUP, and I wouldn't advise chatting, the consquences sound not so fun.

let him do so if he wants... the admins of his college network are probally admins on efnet. stoopid admin ( i found out my net admin was an oper , and that he spent college time on irc, although it was blocked for me.. so i complained! and he allowed my account access to irc..!!! LEDGEND!!!)
