ChatSpike are fairly big, (~1500-2000 people) and use services (so they support registration)

They also have their own java applet.

First, EFnet doesn't support Services (i.e. no channel registration).

Second, check out http://searchirc.com/largest-irc-networks and/or http://irc.netsplit.de/networks for a list of the largest networks.

I'll be honest, I don't have the time nor the patience to research which ones do and don't support channel registration; however, you're free to do so. I'd also be careful in using ads in your quit messages, doing so repeatedly is viewed as abusive (mass advertising) on some networks.

Services supported by the net will be part of the networks description once a network is selected on searcirc's network listing.

It looks something like this:

Code:

Name:  DALnet
Nick length:  30
Indexed:  28,739 channels
Services:  ChanServ
                NickServ
                MemoServ

So cambodia or anyone else can do their own research.

I wish people would stop using the forums only to advertise their own networks i know it is sometimes requested but i do object to people looking for any excuse to advertise their network.

JFYI - The networks right now can check off what kind of network and what services they provide. It was always the plan to expand that once enough networks were modifying their information to allow users to search for networks and specify what kind of services/theme/network size/etc they are looking for. Basically search for a network in the way the original poster wanted.
