ok thats what sets my net aside from all the rest. im a big kid at heart and i rule and im always right and i make things fun and i dont have stick-in-the-ass syndrome like alot of admins (not calling any of you out, mind you...) i just dont give an f what folks think its my hot body, i'll do what i want!

A better way is to simply let your network speak for itself Smile

That way, no matter how they want to rate your network, it speaks for itself. I'm just happy to have a stable network that works. I let my users speak for me if they like it or not Smile

I don't go around bragging-that just makes you a target for those who want to go around and nitpick Smile

yea well thats my promise too but i dont like saying it like its a press release prepared for the public thats a little too stuffy for my liking.

I don't say it as being stuffy, its just what I strive for, being as stable as possible Smile

But alot of channels will come looking for extra benefits, ie, IRCOPS-and I just wanted to make it clear that any channel cept child porn ones are welcome to use my network, but they will have to be satisfied with a free, stable network with services being the only benefits offered, not free olines, free lunch, etc Smile

I do sometimes setup java chats for my channels and host bots too-but I don't advertise that fact, I figure I want people to come to my network because they see it as a good place to chat and they like it. I don't want them to come just because they want the benefits Smile

There always seems to be a mad scramble for every little channel. I let others scramble. Most of the time they don't get what they are promised and are moving again after a month anyway-not the best thing for stability of a channel either Smile

But, to each his own, and to each how to run their network-thats the beauty of the current IRC landscape, anyone can try, but it takes a few years to see if they have succeeded, and only time will tell as to who is still here and who isn't in a few years. I'm only 20 months into the game, I still have a long ways to go before I can say my network is an "established long running network" like alot of others. I'll have to wait and earn that Smile
