suggestions:
-use defender with the flood module, it will lock a channel if it is flood joined.
-user the ctcpserv module for anope (ircd_ctcpserv) and tell it to kill/akill clients without a version reply (athough this module seems to be a bit buggy :/ )
-if there is something common in their nick/user/host/gecos combination, use defender to set a regular expression akill (rexegp_akill module)
-change the maxclients setting under the class block for clients in your ircd config to an amount you know your server can definitely hold.

Anope has a defcon mode which will set all channels +R, among other things. Please read the Anope documentation.  |
