Scrolling back I sure enough said "my net" .. I meant any net I admin/oper on.

I have seen power hungry users in the past .. but I don't oper on any of those nets anymore. Because hungry opers ruin IRC IMO.

I have seen networks nearly destryoed by opers that go on power trips, one of the worst cases I have seen was irc.evil-net.net , but, the worst part of it is. when you try to moderate/prevent theese power trips, the moderator often gets the blame or gets set off and goes on a power trip(I have done this several times)

Opers on Evil-Net such as Mutiny`99 and gta4 especially have a problem with power trips. and I would often try to moderate theese power trips by temporarily kline-ing or akill-ing the one that seemed to have started the fight or power trip.

It seems that power trips come with ignorance/Immaturity but can also come with "Over-Maturity"(not really a word) (I.E evil-net oper's jers_pet and jericho ) as opers with "over-maturity" for some reason seem to think that they have the right to do whatever they want on the irc network(especially if the other opers are young)

Also, another analogy(sp?) that I have made is that opers with ddos networks seem to go on some really bad power trips (who would have ever guessed)

Another problem that is all to common on IRC is jealousy (major problem with mutiny`99 and gta4) for example, if another oper seems to know more about something.

Flame me if you like, as most people do not seem to like my views.

heh, on the Network i run, the opers often have a laugh by abusing their powers on each other, we have earned a trust that extends a long way.. now.. having said that..

supr, in those cases, did you ever try say, SVSNOOP'ing the server with the abusive opers, or JUPEing them? or just not linking them?

Akilling an oper is like akilling a user, but worse, as they tend to get even more angry then a user does when they find themselves banned. My personal method for dealing with abusive opers (I've never had any on the nets I admin, I pick my opers carefully) is to just remove their O:lines, or delink them if the abusive oper is a server admin.

I realise that is not always possible, if you're in a situation with very bad abusive oper problems and you can't fix them it may be better to just chat somewhere else....

he was always a bitch
mutiny didnt abuse as much but there were those times
just cause jers_pet was a girl, no one would abuse powers on her
no1 did it on jericho because jers_pet was online 24/7 like some sort of freak
she just came on one day and got o:line? cmon thats wrong
she should have started from bottom like the rest of us

We weren't the opers on the "power trip" as you so bluntly put it. If I remember correctly and my server logs serve me right... you did most of the BS we had to put up with. Constantly fiddling with crap trying to fix it when it wasn't broken and then blaming it on other people who had nothing to do with it. That's total BS and just shows that no one should put their trust in a 15yr old with an O line. As for Xyther... at least he'll admit that he went too far. You guys are all pissy because we wouldn't let you run around stealing everyone's stuff and having it get traced back to our network. So stfu with your pouting.

hello for all those that read this i would like to set them stright.
my screen name is gta4. I'm a netadmin of irc.evil-net.net

for those who do not know supr, let me inform u previously zippie netadmin of newer left because supr had a power trip on this trip he caused irc.deathrow.net to delink from our servers for a long ass time. and caused zippie who i think was a really good leader leave.
for those who have channels with serving bots. i would highly reccomend not liking or joining suprs new server i will now list my reasons below and indepth

1.A will cause you to leave the server for the following reasons.
a. all his opers are bot theifs. yes they have stole about 300 from our servers and our channels.
b. for any reason at all he will akill u and your bots.
c. he will ddos you and then take your bots.
d. all your channels and keys will be posted on websites
e. your ip address will be giving out to anyone
f. anyone will get netadmin if u ask.
g. he will ddos you for the hell of it.

1.B ways to control supr and his crew
a. make sure you have services on your server
b. make sure your server has alot of the nets people on it
CCCC. you have to delink services and your shell so the guy gets it through his head u cannot delink me you powerful greaty stupid fool.
DDDDDD. make sure you dont have any shell from where he has one of his because he will go to the isp and get the shell password changed by one of his buddys there.

2. well i think you get the point the following are what u shoulda learned from the above
a. you will get fucked over
b. your nick will be taken over
c. u will and can be akilled for the hell of it
d. he will give out vhosts so ppl can rob your bots
e. he gives out vhosts and channel keys and channels names so u can accomplish !@#$@#! someone over
f. Warlordz onwer and copyright holder of main. had to delink supr's 3 servers from his shells because supr WAS A GREEDY MOFO AND DID ALL OF THE ABOVE.

well i got the facts stright and if any of you on this whole site reading this wants to denie the fact that i am right i got logs i got proof u can ask anyone on evil-net.

we are the net that takes no crap from no one. STUPIDTY will not be tolerated. theifing or anyother things will result in an AKILL from a very unPOWER hungry dude, me or mutiny or any oper on evil-net because we are done wit stupidity and people who cannot talk or pronounce english words (like xyther who is a complete n00b)

I can take constructive criticism anytime, but carl YOU were the one on the power trip. The akill list had 29 enties. 2 from me, 2 from skeldon, 1 from gta, and the rest were yours. You akill'd net admins for pete sakes. Why? Just because they disagreed with you. You took offense at the fact it was YOUR friends who ddos'd the net to knock off supr2 and deathrow so they could steal their bots. Xyther admitted that. YOU gave them their olines. And as for careful consideration of Opers, you offered net admin to Brown if he'd bring his channel over to your net. Not that Brown doesn't deserve it, but you even gave tito and xyther their olines back and you know what they did. Now for the real power trip. YOU deleted Nikki's oline after she spent a night fending off bot thieves that kept opering on your server using opers that were set oper *@* . Now that is completely nuts imho. Just as a test i got your oper pass and oper'd under yours one night while you were offline, so we all know you even set your own oper in the same sloppy manner.And when Nikki pointed out this sloppiness to you you deleted her oline on your server. Nice reward for spending a night fending off your friends the bot thieves and keeping things linked while they ddos'd supr2 to take down services and avoid the akills and the fobidden nicks. Now for the real power trip. You got pissy with Nikki and akill'd her , dropped all her channels, and akill'd her bots. Then you took me out of the services admin list so i couldn't take off the akills. Then when i so overmaurely said that was a bit childish yo akill'd me and dropped all my chans. And you wonder why you were delinked? You had the rope my friend.. you hung yourself. No one else did it. Nuff said. Sorry if I broke any forum rules by posting this, Just needed to set the record a bit straighter. Thanks

The kewl thing is NOW evil-net is back to the way it used to be. Funny how a delinking does that.

PS: supr, when ever there was a split, not a single person you gave oper to knew how to /connect . Just another thought.

SupR is not greedy, he was tryin things out he thought for the best, i rarly saw SupR kill any1 at all(on server) he nvr akilled or anything, i dunno where u get all this bullshit. evil-net used to b a kool place to b. now its hell, evil-net is dying, face it. Yall should check out SupR new server, and the 300 bots, i stole them. that was b4 i was szlined from evil net. i dont think SupR would steal them. if i wanted to i could come steal more, but i recently had my botnet stolen, i kno how it feels, so im not gonna steal anymore. SupR is a good leader. im not sayin this because im with him now, i truly think he is. as for evil-net, good ridance
