| I assume the poster means in DCC downloads, not the downloading of the actual program. |

All the same ... mIRC will go as fast as the connection between the sender and the receiver. There is a PDCC option that is described in the mIRC helpfile that will help speed things up a bit, but there is no "download accelarator".
