Talk to a real lawyer.
Generally, contracts are an agreement to do something, with penalties if you don't. If the other party fulfills their part and you break the contract, you should expect to pay the penalties. But laws differ from state to state, country to country. If the other party did not fulfill their part, or if there were circumstances that made it impossible or illegal to fulfill your part, then its possible you can break the contract.
Only a lawyer who has studied contract law in your area will be able to give you the advice you need. |
